Guess That Record is a podcast hosted by Canadian musician Jackson Reed. Each week Jackson will sit down with a special guest for an in-depth interview about their career and experiences. Then, the guest will have to guess which album Jackson pulled from his collection, leading to a discussion about the record. After a lengthy hiatus, Guess That Record returns for a brand new run of episodes! This week sees Jackson interviewing the Hot City Horns, a horn section based out of London, England featuring Paul Burton on Trombone, Mike Davis on Trumpet, and Kenji Fenton on Saxophone. Since 2018, they've been touring with Paul McCartney, appearing with him in stadiums all over the world on his Freshen Up and Got Back tours. They've also performed with artists such as Olly Murs, Jess Glynne, and Emeli Sandé. In this episode, Jackson speaks with the guys about their musical upbringing, how they became a group, and what it's like to work with a living Beatle.

Jim is a Canadian songwriter who is best known for his longtime collaboration with Bryan Adams, co-writing songs like "Cuts Like a Knife," "Summer of 69," "Run To You," and "Heaven" (which hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100). Jim has also worked with artists like Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Glass Tiger, Kiss, Roger Daltrey, and many more. In this episode, Jim talks about his beginnings in music, his career writing with Bryan, and helping David Foster with "Tears Are Not Enough," the Canadian contribution to African famine relief in 1985.

Bio

Jackson Reed is the host of Guess That Record, and is a musician based in Calgary, Alberta. His most recent single "Dangerous Lover," gave him the opportunity to work with legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff, who is featured on the song. Jackson has performed live across Alberta, and in the United States.

Jackson, 24, is a recent graduate of the Journalism program at Mount Royal University, and views Guess That Record as a perfect way to combine his journalistic skills with his passion for music.
